More April

A bit random selection of minis this time, mainly due to challenges and paintalongs.

I dug into the cold storage to find three snakes for the snakealong:

Hisst the Cold, Adder Mage
Burrows and Badgers, the Free Lances Kickstarter set, 2016
Oathsworn Miniatures
Sculpted by Michael Lovejoy
Solid Metal
30mm base

Slisssk the Adder
Burrows and Badgers, the Rogues and Vagabonds Kickstarter set, 2018
Oathsworn Miniatures
Sculpted by Michael Lovejoy
Solid Metal
30mm base

Giant Snake

from the Dungeon Dwellers boxed set, 1992.
Sculpt originally released in the 1983 series “Horrors of the Marsh” as “Sludge Serpent”.
Grenadier Miniatures
Sculpted by John Dennet
lead metal
30mm base

This one was from the lead rot pile. Also the very last of the Dungeon Dwelles boxed set that was unpainted. Admittedly some of the old Grenadier sculpts are pretty crude by any standard. but some, like this one. still hold up well.

Troll with Polearm
Reaper Bones 5 core set, one of three similar AD&D-style trolls in a subset
Unkown sculptor
Bones Black hard PVC
50mm integral base

Water Elemental
Dungeons and Lasers Woodhaven stretch goal set, 2021
Archon Studios
HIPS polystyrene hard plastic
60mm base

I sculpted (and I use the term loosely) more water around the edges of the mini with plastic putty to fill out the base.

I used three different colour shifting paints on the conch and spear-thingy, plus some ivory, dark purple and brown. Gloss varnish make everything look wet.

Pirate lady with a keg (or whatever Reaper might call this mini if and when she is released to retail some time in the far future)
Reaper Bones 5 Brinewind expansion
Reaper miniatures
Unknown sculptor
28mm base

Old man pirate playing concertina sitting upon a barrel o’grog singing Yo Ho Yo Ho A Pirate’s Life For Me. (ditto)
Reaper Bones 5 Brinewind expansion
Reaper miniatures
Unknown sculptor
28mm base

Painted so far this year: 179

January: 86
February: 22
March: 37+5
April: 29
