Mopping up June

Three minis that were finished last month.

They were all for the RCL.

77061 Kord the Barbarian

Reaper Bones 1 kickstarter
Sculpted by Bobby Jackson
Bones Classic White soft rubbery PVC
30mm base

77361 Verocithrax
Reaper Bones
Sculpted by Werner Klocke
Bones Classic white PVC – not even remotely strong enough to support the weight, so it also has a metal tree to keep it upright. Which solves the problem of the entire model listing. But still…more problems.
The wings. oh dear, the wings. The top left wing would droop backwards onto the right one, which was seeking the ground.

The problem is in the thin parts near the root of the wings. They are simply not strong or rigid enough in this material to bear it’s own weight, so gravity pulls them down towards earth.

Solution: florist’s wire. Not pretty, but it works.
By pulling a wire from the right wing through the left and then to the left wrist (which is pulled up a but, the left wing stops drooping and the right one stays up enough to look ok.

  1. Wow, that is a crazy model to put together. I also like what you did with the worm. Nice mod!
