nah-nah-nah-nah-nah-BATMAN!
Another inbetweener, the Bones 3 Werebat this time. I had some paint left over on my palette (I do like dropper bottles much better than the dry-out-pots citadel uses, but sometimes too much paint comes out and I can’t really put it back.
Another piece done entirely by drybrushing up from a black undercoat. No washes used. Drybrushing is not only effective, but also quick. It does require some texture on the model for it to look good though.
It seems that not only does the man turn into a bat (or the bat into a man), but also grows enormously in size as well!
This model will also be a good Abhorrent for my Flesh Eater Courts ghoul army.
In other news, I have delivered the first three teams for the Lead painters league and can take a little breather before labouring on with team number four. I actually have teams 4, 6 and 7 started and have some plans for the remaining three. Number five is to be a “show off the painting with a plain white background” theme, so I am thinking about which models to use. I will probably be going seriously out of my comfort zone for that one, and might not even be able to pull off what I am thinking of. At least I am going to try. Paint bravely and all that.
I am using the LPL as an incentive to paint some models I have lying about and probably never would have been painted in a million years without such a specific reason, as they “don’t have use” in any game I am likely to ever play. As if that really matters, since I very rarely actually get to play anything at all. At any rate, it is the kick in the seat of my pants I need to get out of my rut and do something a little different every now and then.
