Next in line of Oldhammer minis liberated from the clutches of the Drawers of Doom™, is Throt the Unclean. In the lore, this three armed, warpstone-eyed ravenous master mutator has risen to preeminence in Clan Moulder, even to the ranks of the Nine Lords of the Skaven themselves. He looks a bit different today…
In the 80s most miniatures had their own names in the Citadel Catalogue, and were not special characters as such. The concept of special characters with their own special story and place in the background lore was to come later. This minis was just one of many skaven with their own name, sold in assorted packs of four or five lead minis in each. This one is from the C47 line released in 1987.
Whatever the case, I love the original Jes Goodwin C47 Skaven sculpts, they simply have so much more character than the moden CAD-designed minis. There is some quality about the physically sculpted that the more modern digital sculpts seem to lack. I call this “Soul” in lack of a better term.

Such a classic, great work bringing him to life! I like the glowing eye and green sheen on his weapons.
