Pedrogo is the leader of the Circle of Chaos.

And now the Cirle warband is complete!

…apart from the grey death Rhinotaur that I did not pledge for. Regrets, regrets.

Striking the classic heroic pose known as “foot on rock”, Brok is the sixth Circle member, with his trusty Sigmarite warhammer held high.

He is the “normal” one, human without visible mutations and a prime physical specimen at that. His mutations are of the kind that are on the inside…

Circle of Chaos: Chirrik, Friki and Diki

From the Circle of Chaos Warband kickstarter, here is numbers 3, 4 and 5.

Chirrik seems to be some sort of mutated Skaven or rat-beastman.

161117-circle-of-chaos-chirriik-front 161117-circle-of-chaos-chirrk-side 161117-circle-of-chaos-chirrik-back

This mini  is truly chaotic and …busy, and was most difficult to read, as it were. With its miniature arms, the eyestalks, tailweapon and flapping cloak-things all over the place. The busy-ness quieted a bit down as I painted it, each bit gaining definition and appearing before my eyes. (And that odd strip of fur turned out to be a pocket-watch!)

Friki and Diki

The Night Goblin netters and clubbers are a staple of 3rd ed warhammer, and here reimagined for Realm of Chaos oldhammer too. Friki with the net and Diki with the club.

This pair counts as one for Minivember.

Circle of Chaos: The Guardian

There are so many different projects cluttering up my workspace, and the Circle of Chaos minis are one of them.

Having earlier completed the evil dryad as the first of the seven in the warband, here is number two:

The Guardian:

161113-circle-of-chaos-the-guardian-front 161113-circle-of-chaos-the-guardian-back

A strange one this. Apparently an Empire foot knight with the long limbs mutation, and a very long and hairy neck to boot.

I thought briefly about doing this one up in the Mordred-style:

mordred

but decided against it, as the mini was a bit to “happy chaos”, and Mordred seems to be a very serious bastard.

Circle of Chaos: Ajjatahr the Corrupted Dryad

Circle of Chaos was a small kickstarter by a group of sculptors who each contributed one or two sculpts. The idead was (obviously) to create a small old school Warhammer Realms of Chaos warband with mutations and all. I loved the concept and the seven varied individuals that make up the warband. I deeply regret not forking out for the big Rhino-centaur thing as well.

Oh well, I have started work on several of them, here is the first of these magnificent seven to be finished:

160918-circle-of-chaos-ajjatahr-dryad

Some sort of corrupted, chaos or just plain evil man-sized treeman or dryad (not sure what they were called back then, or even now.) I opted to not go for the “Snow White Black Forest” look and rather indicate the foulness of this evil Groot with a strong, reddish glow around the black eyes and the toothy, leering smirk.

Oldhammer Mummy

And now for something not entirely completely different:

160508 Oldhammer Mummy

I really need to look into better lighting, even a light box for pictures. This one had all the contrasts flashed away. It looks much better IRL, Trust me on this.

I made a few trades earlier in the year, this mini came from one of those.

I think I will be using it for my up and coming Frostgrave necromancer warband’s zombie.

Ye Pile of Olde: I found another Oldhammer Zombie!

160403 oldhammer zombie2

While rummaging through some boxes with old miniatures, I came across this ancient lead rotten zombie.

And I had to paint it right away.

This is the fifth one from the original blisterpack (yes, Citadel used to have 5 random lead minis per blisterpack from their series of maybe 8-12 different ones) to go with the other four I found and painted last year.
