Newhammer: Spirit Hosts of the Malignants

Yes, that happened. I bought some new citadel minis. Those “start collecting” sets are too good to pass up. I bought the Malignants set, with Spirit hosts, hexwraiths/black knights and the mortibladiblah-whatever engine ghost coach thingy.

All I have gotten around to prep are the spirit hosts. Took me ages to glue, getting them to set properly in position was a right old bitch. Maybe I should have used superglue and accellerator.

Anyway. here is the first. Trying out a new way of fast painting here, using 20+ year old inks for the most part. I think they turned out ok in the Ghostbusters-style green.

These modern minis. For an old fart like me, it is quite astounding how far plastic mini technology has come. You could not make anything even remotely like this back in the day. Whatever will they think of next?
