Mid-December

A bunch of minis painted during the last couple of weeks.

Starting with the agitated demons at the back:

Dance Dance Demons! It’s fun to be at the YMCA!

The recently released to retail “Blood Demons” boxed set by Reaper, made in their superior Bones Black hard PVC material. I got the set as a power-up (add on that appeared in the pledge manager) in the Bones 5 kickstarter.
Why was this Jonny-come-lately set of minis one of the very first Bones 5 things to be released to retail?
I believe this is because of Reign in Hell, the miniatures agnostic demon game that has caught on like a wildfire.

From the blurb on the box and the Reaper website:
Eons ago, the demon lord Abraxus was summoned to our world by a cabal of wizards. Enraged, the demon-lord slew his would-be masters but found himself trapped deep in their dungeon and unable to return to his abyssal domain. Abraxus, Duke of the Mercury Seas of Yorgash, summoned a cadre of faithful demons to free him, but they themselves were imprisoned alongside their lord. Now, the summoners’ dungeon is the prison-domain of the fiends. What heroes are brave enough to face and defeat the Blood Demons?

The new Bones USA version of the classic wizard Anirion. I painted this to contrast with the one I did in February for the annual challange in the RCL. The intention of the annual challenge -where you paint the same sculpt early and late in the year- is to show off improvements in painting skill…

Too bad I peaked several years ago and am coasting along with low effort table top + painting. Bones 1 version to the left.

The Zombie peasants from the Bones 5 core set.
These are really nice.

A giant Nurgling?
Strictly speaking, Conan is in the wrong scale. I did not have an epic infantry mini readily available for the picture.

An Epic scale Great Unclean One, Greater Daemon of Nurgle in metal from the original Space Marine / Adeptus Titanicus Epic game series back in the 90s. This is another salvage from the lead rot pile. Time to paint it.
