Random Roundup

A roundup of random miniatures today. These were mostly painted yesterday and based today. All of them rather quick and dirty paint jobs.

We start with a pair of 3D printed “Cerebrum Hounds” from Cast’n’Play.

For some strange reason one of them is significantly smaller than the other. These are the original sizes. These would be close to the Intellect Devourers from D&D, with added tonguetacle and tailtacle.

Printed on my Elegoo Mars Pro. The bases are 45x30mm and 25mm.

From the first Bones kickstarter:

I am diving into some more of the white-undercoated Bones 1 models that are cluttering up my Drawers of Doom, models that for some reason or other have been stuck in limbo never to get to painted-heaven. These Bones are mainly painted with Contrast Paints for speed.

This is 77119 Sinessa, Hellborn Sorceress.

It was part of the “Bedevilled” subset of the Bones 1 Core set.

Sculpted by Bob Ridolfi. 25mm base.

The Skin is Flesh Tearers Red Contrast with a careful drybrush of thinned Wazdakka Red Layer on top. The Gold is Vallejo Necro Gold and old Chestnut Ink.

77164 Elliwyn Heatherlark, Gnome Bard.

Sculpted by Derek Schubert. 25mm base.

It was part of the “Half Sized Heroes” subset of the Bones 1 Core set.

This was painted mainly with the so-called “one and done” method; a single coat of Citadel Contrast paints on a white undercoat, apart from a few details in regular paint, such as the sword and belt buckle done in metals and the whites of the eyeballs. Some black used for blacklining around some of the edges and Vallejo Sand Yellow for the hair.
The rim of the base needs a second coat of black.

77085 Townsfolk: Wench

Sculpted by Bob Ridolfi. 25mm base.

It was part of the “Townsfolk” subset of the Bones 1 Core set.

77128 Vermin: Spider Swarm

Sculpted by Shannon Stiltz

and

77130 Vermin: Beetle Swarm

Sculpted by Bob Olley

These are painted black and then one in blue metallic and the other in green metallic, with a bit of silver highlight. Then gloss black nuln oil shade. Based and done.

These were part of the “Vermin” subset of the Bones 1 Core set.

40mm bases.

All the Bones minis are available from Reapermini.com

Then, odds and ends:

This is a Halfling Treeman from TTcombat’s Halflings and Friends kickstarter. It was in an RPG monster selection pack, so I only have the one. In retail they are sold in units of 6.

Made in resin, I put it on a 50mm base.

Currently available from ttcombat.com

Nolzur’s Marvelous Miniatures 73403 Shambling Mound
