Lost Valley: Giant Rhino Beetle

This one is actually from the Fan Favorites expansion and not from the Lost Valley expansion, but still…Giant Insect? Yeah, that’s your Lost Valley right there. So I put it in with the rest.

The colours are inspired by the European Rhino Beetle.

It comes on a 50mm round(ish) base, and I printed a rim that fit around it so the base style is in keeping with the others. With the rim, the diameter of the base is 65mm.

Also, this “miniature” is approximately the same size as a real live  (smallish) one…which have been known to grow up to about 15cms in length…about as long as my hand(!) Luckily real Rhino Beetles are harmless to humans.

This mini was painted in one sitting June 25th 2020.

  1. Very nice work – looks far better than a Bones model would expect to – well done!
