There has been a lot of terrain done up lately, as I am still pressing on with getting some of the many ancient resin terrain pieces I have table ready. and going forward I expect to do a few pieces in between miniatures ever so often. I have a bunch of them cluttering up my desk, and need to clear some space.
The piece to the left is an Armorcast “Small Pod 1” alien plant something-or-other in the shadow of some rocks. I bought it about two decades ago, and had forgotten what this was, only having a vague idea that it was Armorcast. Some quick browsing later: Imagine my surprise to find it still in their webshop!
The piece to the right is one of the two identical patches of mushrooms in the “20061 Shaman’s Fungi” set from Grendel Productions that I bought about the same time as the alien plant thing. The other patch was painted and in table top use back then, for some reason I did not paint the second one before now. This is also still available to buy!
The mushroom patch has a footprint of about 9 x 5 cms and the small pod about 10 x 6 cm.
I also repaired a pair of other Grendel mushrooms that had taken a beating in storage and several house movings. Both had separated and were missing some horn-tips and had other chipping. Easily fixed with some plastic putty, superglue and paint.
The mushroom patch for scale.
