The Dugs Sorak are the aliens that use their upper arms for legs, and have a lower set of more delicate arms for most other tasks. This one has rather large pair of cleaver-like swords. So I tried to make them look lighter with blue paint. Something like the blades used by the covenant hunters in Halo. Not sure if it worked.

Mantics’ metal minis do leave a bit to be desired, there is usually a lot of flash and often some of the parts are badly cast with prominent mould lines. I think they might use their moulds too long before making new ones, or maybe their mould makers are not all that good at their job. When cleaned up , though, the minis usually are quite nice.

This casting, though, was not all that bad. The sword arms naturally required pinning, and I also pinned the mini to the base.

I like the look of the Sorak, and I think they suit the classic “red devil” style look well. So I am doing them as such.
