These are the last minis I finished this year. All of them are large-ish pieces which I chose to do because of paintalongs on the minipainter discord. These paintalongs, much like the RCL, are great encouragement for me to get some different styles and types of minis painted. Also, it highlights my
hoarder tendencies eclectic collection of minis.
Röstbouquet the Blightlord for scale.
Chaos Daemon Engine or Mutated armoured half-track of some sort
Unkown model, unknown make
This half-track looks like it is based on the American M3 of World War II fame. The similarities end there though. Interesting to note the spare tracks mounted on both sides. This would indicate the basic model comes with tracked wheel-parts and this chaosy weird crablegged version is but a variant.
I bought it second hand off ebay some time ago, there was no info about it. I have not been successful finding any info on this model online either. I suspect it is made by one of the many semi-obscure Eastern European makers of resin bits and substitute models for 40k.
F’aa’thuum Greater Stygian Wardemon of Fate
Not at all a Kairos Fateweaver or Lord of Change sub. No, sirree Bob!
Spinne Light Panzermech
Konflikt 47, German faction
Resin and metal
I should have had the legs more down and beneath the body to give them a more spider-shaped look.
77267 Kallaguk, Troll King
Reaper Bones 2
Sculpted by Jason Wiebe
Bones Classic white PVC
Look closely at the right knee. Do you see the open-air bit of paperclip I put in there?
This model needed a bracing strut there to keep it from sagging. The two rather thin legs are far back from the centre of gravity and the material is simply not strong enough to keep it upright. But with a piece of a paperclip stuck between the knee and the base, it will stand. And this strut can be hidden with tufts and or basing material.
